Jones received his training at the University of Washington, and gained experience in several large Pacific Northwest firms, including Paul Thiry in Seattle and Robert Price in Tacoma, the latter with whom he was associated, 195 1-57. He received his license to practice architecture from the State of Washington in the same year as Liddle.
